Patrick Ridgeway is an entrepreneur in high complexity molecular diagnostics, where he uses cutting-edge research techniques to advance women's health. An advocate of the Foundation for Women's Cancer, Patrick Ridgeway supports the organization’s continued research and educational programs regarding gynecologic cancers.
With the goal of eradicating gynecologic cancers, the Foundation for Women's Cancer has multiple initiatives in place to educate people on cancer prevention, treatment, and early diagnosis. Many of the organization’s fundraisers secure money for its partner the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, currently researching new forms of treatment.
The Foundation for Women's Cancer offers free daylong survivor courses throughout the United States for women who want to educate themselves about treatment options and quality-of-life issues related to ovarian, cervical, or uterine cancer. Participants are also encouraged to ask questions, as oncologists and researchers are on hand at these events.
The foundation urges women to listen to their bodies, and speak up with any concerns, no matter how minimal they might seem.
